The Undeniable Ripple Effect

You may not see it happening, but if you pay attention you can feel it. It’s the resonating energy that results from what you do and who is affected by it.

The Ripple Effect

The Ripple Effect is about the number of people we ultimately impact as a result of our work.

I left the corporate world behind 20 years ago when I had my twins, who were born October tenth. And my vision at the time wasn’t much sharper than 10/10. I was just focused on going into business for myself so I could have the necessary time and flexibility to raise my boys. The only people I was really looking to effect with my choice were those babies.

The thought of financial freedom came later. And the "ripple effect" was the surprise I never thought about but takes my breath away when I think about it now…..

As my twins and my business grew, I started to see how my choices were reaching further outside my own little bubble at home. The time I put into mothering assured that my kids could read, which effected their teachers and how much time they needed to spend on reading with them. I taught the boys about kindness and manners, which effected their relationships with friends, and the parents of their friends.

My business was no different. Once I realized the power of systems and processes in my own business, I began teaching others to put simple plans in place to run their businesses. Because they were running them more efficiently, they could service their clients at a higher level. And so on, and so on…

Here’s an example:

I teach Jane, a digital marketing expert, how to choose a system to manage and accomplish her day to day tasks. She is then more organized and less stressed about getting things done. With her renewed focus and extra time, she shows her client Amy, who is an executive coach, how to market more specifically and consistently to her target audience. Amy gains three new clients with her targeted social media posts, one of them being Jeff who wants to be a speech writer. Because Amy is working with her ideal client, she’s able to help Jeff find the courage to apply for speech writing opportunities with local politicians that he supports. He gets hired, writes a number of inspirational speeches, and his candidate wins the election. That candidate goes on to make changes that greatly benefit the community.

All by tipping the first domino, and helping someone find balance in their daily processes.

20/20 Vision

These are the types of situations that raised my vision to 20/20. I could see the potential for helping other businesses, particularly entrepreneurs with big picture thinking, who need someone to break their necessary tasks down into doable steps. They need to focus their time on growing a profitable business and making the world a better place.

And now we are and I clearly know my purpose. I am the pebble you drop in the pond that continues to create rings of success that expand and enhance the success of others. That’s why I do what I do. What’s your story?
